How many years does it take Sallie Mae to stop reporting your PAID student loans to the credit bureaus:

Experian, Equifax and TransUnion and now they report to a 4th:

INNOVUS???? Who is "INNOVUS"???

Are they a credit bureau????????

Nobody knows!!!

Well, Sallie Mae has been reporting my PAID student loan for more than 33 YEARS!!

Just ask Mr. Ryan Allabaugh @ Sallie Mae's Consumer Advocate Unit:

Call him @ : (888) 545 - 4199 x6054.

Mr. Allabaugh would love to help all those people out there in trouble with their loans....he's courteous, helpful, sincere and polite. NOT!!

Because they are reporting false information. I have been trying for over a year to get automatic debit set up on my sallie mae acct. I am still in college and cant afford the payment but they have us by the short n curlies. Long story short, I have given them my personal bank info(faxes, recorded phn calls and certified letters) at leat 15 times and yet they still cannot seem to get the routing number right? They then charge me late payments for this dubious mistake. Its funny because they test the account each time you give them the info(usually $1.01 or $.99). But yet when payment time comes, they curiously "mix-up" the acct# or routing#. Im not the smartest person in the world but this seems freakishly similar to what the credit industry is doing at this very time. Maybe sallie mae has been playing late night nookie with citi?? He has every right to be pissed because we are all pissed. I WANT to pay sallie mae but they make it freaking impossible. The whole point of automatic debit is the LACK OF HUMAN INTERVENTION so why am I calling them more than my own mother because they cant get an 8 digit number right after so long? Me thinks I smell a lawsuit coming....

A paid account (even if it is 33 years old), does not impact your FICO score or your creditworthiness. All this account is really doing is taking up space on your report, but it's not harming you in any way from the way you have described it.

As long as they are not reporting the account in a negative or inaccurate manner, I don't see why you should be so upset about it.
