Pheaa (AES) is misleading parents and sticking them with their dependent student loans by offering deferrments as long as dependent student is in school, but after 6mnths they start billing the parent, when the parent contacts them about a forbayence becuase their child is still in school thats when they find out that they have to be the one in school now does that make any sense? They trick you into thinking the loan wont come due to your child is out of school but in reality it will be due in 6mnths unless you the parent are in school. These people are loan sharks and ripping off parents everywhere! They have sent an income execution to my employer for almost double the loan amount and looking for 15% of my pay. If this company is run through are goverment there is something wrong here, all my daughters loans were deferred due to military deployment except the parent plus becuase the parent needs to be in school/military this is misleading parents throught Pennsylvania and obviously New York too!

For your information Im not disgruntled, and if you look at keystone PPL's they offer deferements on dependant student loans. I have resolved my issues with this loan anyway so your posting on an old complaint!

You who knows so much why would the student even have to sign the note then? Bet you can't answer that one. I was informed that the parent was the one responsible for the loan I was not informed about me having to attend school and even the federal department of education doesnt understand that! So thanks for your comment anyway.

It's in the promissory note. If you were smart you would've read that it says it's a Parent Plus loan with a key emphasis on PARENT. It's a loan taken out by the PARENT for the dependent child so it's YOUR loan and if YOU are not the one in school then YOU the parent cannot defer the loan. Next time read the paper work my disgruntled friend.
